The daily market at the Campo de’ Fiori is one of the oldest in Rome. Its official name is Mercato Regionale Regola, even though the square is not in the Regola, but in the Parione district. Thanks to its location it is always mentioned in guidebooks, but it is far less authentic and way more expensive than similar markets in the city.

Nuovo Mercato Esquilino Rome

The Nuovo Mercato Esquilino is a fruit, vegetable and fish market in Rome’s multi-cultural Esquilino district. This covered market consists of two entire blocks. In the first one, coming from Roma Termini, most stalls sell cheap China-imported clothes, while the second part is dedicated to food from all over the world.

Porta Portese Market Rome

Porta Portese is the name of Rome‘s biggest and most colorful flea market. It takes place every Sunday morning (until 2pm) in the area around the Via Portuense and the Via Ippolito Nievo in theĀ  Trastevere district. It is named for the gate that gives access to the north side of the market.
