Facilities

Luggage

The luggage depot in Fiumicino is open from 6.30am till 11.30pm. The rate is 6 Euros for 24 hours and you pay when you pick up your luggage. It can be found in the International Arrivals hall in Terminal C.

In case you have too much luggage to carry it yourself, you can order a porter. This can either be done by phone (+39 0665957510/4054) or by fax (+39 0665955995). The rate is 4 Euros per item (6 Euros for bigger suitcases) and 8 Euros for transportation between terminals. Every hall has a porter point.

To retrieve luggage that has not arrived you need to contact the handling company indicated on the monitor near the point where it was supposed to arrive. Each airline works with a different company, each one of which seems to make an absolute disregard for customer service and helpfulness a requirement for its staff.

Other facilities

There is a post office (8am-5pm; saturdays 8am-1pm; sundays closed) in the Arrivals Terminal A.

The First Aid (Pronto Soccorso) can be called 24/7 at +39 0665953133/3334. This is not a free service, though.

Pharmacies can be found near the check-in desks in Terminal A and on the first floor of Terminal B/C.

There is a catholic chapel in the departure hall in Terminal C and two Sale di preghiera multireligiosa, where non-Catholics/Christians can find assistance. One of these is in the international arrival hall between Terminals B and C and one in the national Arrival hall beside Terminal AA.

Children

There are some facilities for children at Fiumicino Airport. Rooms with children’s cots and changing tables can be found in the departure area of Terminal C. The Terminal C arrival area has two small playgrounds with toys near the luggage pick up points 7 and 9.
