There are also some metro stops (Colosseo, San Giovanni and Vittorio Emanuele nearby).

Monti is bookended by the Basilica of St. John Lateran and the Basilica of St. Mary Major. Other important churches are San Pietro in Vincoli and Santa Prassede. Parts of the Fori Imperiali are also located within the borders of the district, as is Nero’s Golden House, better known as Domus Aurea.

The main shopping street is the already mentioned Via Nazionale. In the Via Urbana and the Via dei Serpenti you will find many trendy stores for vintage fashion lovers. There is a daily food market in the Via Baccina, and there are supermarkets in all the main streets.
