“Unicità d’Italia. Made in Italy And the National Identity 1961/2011, fifty years of Italian know-how, told through the Premio Compasso d’Oro ADI” is the official title of an exhibition highlighting Italian design held in the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome.

Unicità d’Italia. Made in Italy and the National Identity (Palaexpo, until September 25, 2011)

The exhibition is an attempt to show how the concept of “Made in Italy” has, in the past 50 years, helped create an Italian national identity.

This is done with the aid of objects taken from the Collezione Storica Compasso d’Oro (Historical Collection of the Golden Compass) and from those products that participate in the 22nd edition of the Golden Compass Premium.

Video films and other historical testimonies will also be used for the exhibition, which will last until September 25, 2011.

Contemporaneously the MACRO Testaccio will hold a complimentary exhibition showing objects that have participated in the last 3 editions of the Osservatorio Permanente del Design in order to be allowed to participate in the Premio Compasso d’Oro ADI.
