Giacinto Cerone exhibition GNAM 2011
Cerone was born in the city of Melfi in 1957 but moved to Rome at an early age. His entire career, characterized by a reluctance to be part of any movement, is highlighted in the exhibition, which is being held in the central hallways of the GNAM.
Cerone, who died in 2004, used many different materials in his work and the exhibition especially focuses on his use of moplen, a kind of malleable plastic very popular in the 70’s.
