Location and description
The apartment is located in a 15th century town house in the rione Trastevere and is located near the famous Santa Maria in Trastevere Church.
Trastevere is a neighbourhood with typical narrow streets and picturesque squares, with an authentically colourful Roman character. It was one of the first inhabited areas of Rome and its population consisted of fishermen, merchants and other professions making their living from the nearby port (of which there sadly are no traces left).
Staying at San Calisto Bed and Breakfast will mean that you will have Rome’s historical center at your feet. A short walk across the Tiber will bring you to the Campo de’ Fiori, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon and from there it is but another brief stroll to the Campidoglio, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, etc.
Walk uphill, in the opposite direction, and you will be treated to one of Rome’s most magnificent and romantic views, the one from the Piazza Garibaldi on top of the Janiculum hill.
The alleys of Trastevere will give you an unforgettable nighttime experience, with small cafes and family-run trattorie and pizzerie everywhere.
Calisto6 B&B offers you a refined and tasteful atmosphere, created by the architect owning the property. The high ceilings and hardwood or marble floors form a perfect combination. The big windows let in a lot of sunlight and give out onto a beautiful square.
Three of the rooms have a private bathroom, air conditioning, TV and internet wifi connections. The other two rooms share one bathroom.
The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and fresh linen is provided every two days.
