The train from the airport of Fiumicino, the so-called Leonardo Express, arrives at Termini’s platform 25, only a 5 minute walk from the B&B. Via Marsala, where buses from both airports (including Ciampino) arrive is a 10 minute walk away. There is a metro (underground) stop around the corner from the Bed and Breakfast and several important bus lines have stops near the Little Italy. The close proximity to the main train station also failitates day trips to tourist destinations like Tivoli, Ostia Antica, several beach resorts and even Pompei.
Rome’s important shopping areas can also easily be reached. Via Nazionale is two metro stops and Piazza di Spagna and the prestigious Via Condotti are only 4 underground stops from the Little Italy hostel.
Cheap restaurants abound in the B&B’s surroundings and there is a big supermarket directly around the corner. Close to the hostel one of the few daily street markets in the center of Rome can be found. The oldest ice cream parlor of the Eternal City is located at only a short walk from the Little Italy Bed and Breakfast. San Lorenzo, the student quarter of Rome, is a 15-minute walk from the B&B: Cheap and welcoming pizzeria’s, pubs and trattoria‘s abound in San Lorenzo.
There are garages in the vicinity and several parks with children’s playgrounds. There is a laundromat and there are several internet points.
The rooms at the B&B are spotless and spacious and are cleaned every day. The atmosphere is cozy with people from different nationalities discussing their Roman experiences and their excursions to the city’s tourist attractions over a lovely breakfast, consisting of freshly baked bread, butter, several spreads, different kinds of cereal, different kinds of fruit juice and coffee or tea. Not being on a main street, Rome’s dense and noisy traffic will not disturb your rest at the B&B Little Italy Hostel.
We speak several languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Danish and of course Dutch and Italian. Free maps of Rome are provided and there are tourist brochures with information about the main attractions.
There is hot water 24 hours a day and clean towels are provided every day. During the summer months there are fans in the rooms and there is central heating during the (few) winter months. There is a common refrigerator for our guests and there are tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a microwave, in the kitchen. Hair-dryers, umbrellas, ironing facilities and alarm clocks are available.
On the day you leave we provide you with free luggage storage, so you can still go out sightseeing without having to worry about your belongings or spending too much money at Termini’s luggage department.
