After Rodin. Italian Sculpture in the Early 20th Century” (D’apres Rodin. Scultura italiana del primo novecento) in the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna is one of two exhibitions centering on Auguste Rodin that are being held in Rome.

The second exhibition is titled “Rodin. Marble, Life” and is held in the Terme di Diocleziane seat of the Museo Nazionale Romano. This exhibition will run from February 18th till May 25th 2014.

The exhibition in the National Gallery of Modern Art is especially dedicated to the influence the French artist had on Italian sculpture in the beginning of the last century, starting with his private room in the Biënnale in Venice in 1901.

Most of the works that are used for the exhibition are part of the museum’s own collection.

The exhibition will run from February 11th until May 18th 2014. (Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna, Viale delle Belle Arti 131 – Rome, +39 0632298221; opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30 AM to 7.30 PM, closed on Mondays, closed on May 1st; admission: 12 Euros. The Roma Pass is valid.)
